Induced Hyperstimulation Case # 22782 This patient presented for a baseline study (pre-cycle) for ovulation induction and Profasi (HCG) trigger. Patient initially provided no other information. Images 1-3 demonstrate ovarian hyperstimulation Image 4 demonstrates that the ovary has not torsed Patient is being treated on the east coast for infertility and at the time of exam revealed that she had just completed a cycle with subsequent IUI (intra-uterine insemination). Patient was asked again if she meant IVF (Invitro-fertilization) and she stated that she was triggered 2 weeks ago. Her pregnancy test was negative at time of exam. Normally, the ovaries are not hyperstimulated unless oocyte retrieval is planned. Patient had over 15 follicles per ovary at greater than 25mm each at time of exam.
